National Service is an important part of every Male Singaporean’s life. It is viewed as a rite of passage into adulthood. It is also an important part of Nation-Building in this Island-State. People are our most important asset in Singapore. National Service needs to be vigorous and realistic, but should avoid unnecessary risk. Before National Service, it is prudent to have a comprehensive and formal assessment of the heart by a fully-qualified Cardiologist.
